ExploAR - AR Education for STEM
ExploAR is a work-in-progress AR learning app for Android mobiles and iPhones (Built on ARFoundation) that turns textbook concepts into interactive 3D experiences. Built with Unity and ARCore, it’s designed to make studying more engaging by combining animations, labeled 3D models, and simple interactions so students can explore rather than just read.
Current modules include an animated solar system with approximately scaled sizes and relative orbital speeds, a proof-of-concept human skeleton with labeled parts, and an in-progress projectile-motion simulator powered by Unity’s physics. The simulator lets learners adjust initial velocity and launch angle, with a planned quiz mode that fixes certain parameters and guides students through solving to “hit the target,” reinforcing key kinematics concepts through play.
Wildlife ExplorAR
Wildlife ExplorAR offers a cutting-edge digital recreation of real-world ecosystems using virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). Our solution transports users into immersive Virtual Ecosystems, where they can observe different species interacting authentically within their natural biomes. Utilising Behaviour Trees, animals within these ecosystems exhibit lifelike behaviours, including eating, drinking, and hunting, driven by their simulated needs. Augmenting the experience, ecologists provide insightful voice-overs through pre-recorded videos, explaining the intricacies of animal behaviour, such as hunting and pack dynamics.
